CTCW is a map-based Cocktail Safari ™ where festival goers explore Cape Town via its cocktails. To attend, purchase a ticket here; this you’ll exchange for a wristband, which gives you access to R50 cocktail specials at participating venues. You’ll also receive a festival map and an events guide listing CTCW activities, so you can chart your course in a choose-your-own-adventure format.

OUR founder
CTCW is directed by Leah van Deventer, a globally recognised voice in the drinks industry working at the intersection of writing, judging, education and public speaking.
Internationally, Leah serves on numerous competition panels – most notably being an Academy Chair for The World’s 50 Best Bars – and regularly presents seminars at trade shows across Europe and the US.
In Cape Town, she teaches WSET Spirits courses, contributes to several publications, presents masterclasses, delivers brand education and consults across the drinks sector. Additionally, Leah mentors industry women with SIS, a sorority she founded in 2022.
Her contributions have been recognised with multiple accolades, including four placements in the Bar World 100, where she currently ranks as #50 among the most influential figures in the global bar industry.
She also holds three SA Bar Communicator of the Year titles and the 2024 Best Mentor award. SIS was named Best Upliftment Initiative in 2023.
